I'm not a photographer, so I want to be clear up front that if I don't mention shutter speeds or ISO, it's because I'm clueless about them...

I love this photo! The mix of soft greys is excellent, with the soft texture of the sea and sky contrasting nicely with the jagged, jutting rocks. Speaking of the rocks, I like the way they tiptoe out into the sea, drawing the eye into the picture and toward the horizon.
And on that horizon? A storm. Probably. It's tough to see for sure through the falling rain <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)"/>.
I also like the mix of bright, warming light near the camera, versus the dismal, poorly lit activity near the surprise. We even have a splotch of green-brown on the nearest rocks as an anchor of sorts for the eyes.
This reminds me, at least vaguely, of Edward Weston's "Point Lobos" series, one of my favorite photographic series ever made. Not identical, but the mood it inspires is similar. Keep up the good work!
